Thankgiving week

We went on a long vacation this year for Thanksgiving.  We went to Atlanta for a few days, got to take the kids to the Georgia Aqaurium, have dinner with a number of friends, and see some different colored leaves.  It was amazing and makes me miss it...........some :)

We then went to AL to visit the family.  While in Slapout, Caleb/Reagan LOVED riding the 4-wheeler, Caleb finally got on Granddad's tractor (only took 5 years), and quick trip to Birmingham to visit the cousins.

Next stop was Montgomery to see Grandpa/Nana/Granny/Aunt Kris/Uncle Phil.  Caleb/Reagan can now drive Grandpa's train solo, which is a BIG step.  The kids had a blast.  It was fun having everyone in the same house again, at least for a few days :)

We celebrated the Auburn game at our friend's house while the kids played with Grandpa/Nana more.  It wasn't fun the first half, but the end was awesome!!!

Last day was going to Dothan, in route home, to spend some time with friends there.  Needless to say, we had a wonderful time spending time with family and so much time with friends this trip.

Here are a few pictures to highlight the trip.  Enjoy.

The kids "raked" a big pile of leaves (with sticks) at Aunt Kristie's house.  Keep in mind that in FL we have palm trees, so this is always a treat!

Caleb riding Granddad's tractor, he took the tree the boys cut down across the road.

The kids LOVED the 4-wheeler.  Jeff managed to take both at once a few times.

Aunt Kristie and the kids.  They had a blast picking up pecans from Granny's yard.  Yet another thing we don't have down here in FL.  I even cracked a few and ate them!!  The kids don't like pecans :(

Cutie's in front of Grandpa and Nana's tree.  They get to hang their ornaments on the tree each year, then get another.  They remember which is which amazing.

No more training wheels!!!

Caleb decided today that he was ready to remove the training wheels.  Jeff helped him push off the first time and was on stand by the first few laps.................he needed no help :)  He has been running through the grass, going fast, stopping, turning, basically going non-stop for an hour.  We will be back outside tomorrow!!!  He is growing up fast :)  Enjoy the pictures.

Get ready....get set....

GOOOOO!!!

and keep going and going and going and going :)

Happy Halloween!

We made it to Halloween and are now in detox mode from sugar!!  We carved a big pumpkin, few days before Halloween, however the weather didn't work with us............so it got tossed the day before as it stunk, was moldy, and just all around gross!

We made a pumpkin brownie and of course, had a driveway party.  The kids were exhausted and went straight to sleep at 8:45 when I put them down!

Birthday Fun!

Caleb had his first ever "all about me birthday" and it was a success!  He has been opening presents for the past few days, ending with ours and Reagan's tonight.  This morning he was greeted by a ton of Happy Birthday's.  His first snack was a Halloween pumpkin followed by chocolate chip pancakes.  Then a quick trip to the doctor for his ear infection, no worries, just need some drops for a week.

Webshooter from Grandpa/Nana - the end of the web :)

Superman motorcycle picked out from Reagan - very cute

Caleb got to be up front in chapel for his birthday.  We all went to Chick-Fil-A for lunch, where he ate ice cream.  We then went to Publix for him to get his balloon (Superman), a candle, and his birthday dessert (donuts).

He had chicken strips and mac-n-cheese for dinner, then followed by his birthday donut.  He has had a wonderful day and is wiped out.

Happy Birthday song and then blowing out of candle.

Halloween Yummies

This Halloween, we've been eating candy corn and candy pumpkins; cutting pancakes into pumpkin, bat, and witch shapes; plus we made a cookie caterpillar today.  The kids will also be making sugar cookies and decorating them this week.  They have been so excited with all the yummy things :)  Here are some pics of what we have done.

Twinkle Little Star

Caleb invited each of us into his room one day to sing us Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.  This was one of the songs I used to sing to him when he was a baby, he still loves it :)

Gorgeous October

October has been a busy month!!  We've been outside almost every afternoon as the weather has started to cool off and the sky has been bright blue.  Reagan's class has had a corn cob tasting and made/tasted a pumpkin pie (she didn't like).  Caleb's class shucked corn and made pancakes in class (he ate 4).  Reagan and I have also dealt with sinus infections due to weather changes, but we are both recovered.

We went to Busch Gardens with Tyler Sullivan.  We saw the HUGE gator, the hippo swimming, the crane and big pile of dirt building a new coaster (this was the main attraction), and rode many rides in the kids area.  We've also been to MOSI (Museum of Science Industry).  The kids got to see a skeleton, which they loved, play drums, ride a skateboard (it times you), we even went into a simulated twister (in a basement).

This morning we went to the pumpkin patch for pictures and the annual gathering of a BIG pumpkin to carve, plus 2 little ones for the kids.  They had fun looking at all of them :)  Enjoy!!

Park fun

The weather is starting to get nicer outside, at least you can be outside and breathe most days.  We've been to the park a few times over the past week.  Caleb and Reagan both love playing on all the equipment.  Here are a few shots of them enjoying being outside.  Soon it will be time for us to play outside every afternoon for a few hours!!!

On Saturday morning, we walked to the park in the front of our neighborhood.  The entire family went, including Nestle :)  Caleb rode his bike and Reagan opted to ride in the stroller.  They both played in the sand trying to build a castle.......or at least I think that is what the big hill was going to be?  Caleb poured water into the hole to make it "better sand to build with".

Bicycle fun

Art hangers...........by mom

So, with all the artwork the kids make at school, I wanted a place (other than my fridge) to display these beautiful works of art!  I thought of a retractable clothesline, even found one online.  However, Caleb and I went to the craft store on Saturday and found some supplies.  It isn't bad if I do say so myself.........this is as crafty as I've gotten recently!

Tub Time

The new favorite thing for the kids is to plug their ears and lay under the water!  It reminds me of me and Kris :)

Daddy took the picture with his phone and he covered Ms. Reagan up!!!

Playdoh fun and my car man

I went Wednesday to help Reagan's class make "sun dough".  They took turns pouring 2 cups of flour, 1 cup of salt, and water into a bowl.  Then stirring and each got a ball of dough to play with.  They played for a while, then used cookie cutters to make things.  When I left school, they were drying in the sun :)  This week at school is all about senses.  They have a song to go with it to, though not sure what it is!!!

Caleb has become a car buff.  He can point out Mercedes, Jeeps, and Corvettes.  Very cute.

I'll get some pictures up soon.
